Most of our clients are working in the field of product design, graphic design, urban planning and architecture. We are proud of this recognition. The owners of this building, that is situated in the historical city of Utrecht, are 'imagineers' and asked Naked Architecture to create a plan to change two houses into an upper and a lower part.
The lower part has been adapted most by removal of the separating wall between the houses and the rear facade. As a concept we used 'layers' to emphasize the difference between base construction, new interior walls and joinery.
The bathroom, enclosed with cabinets, stands at a distinct angle in the middle of house and has interesting spaces around it. A concrete bench holding two fireplaces, shows the length of the house and a glass wall with two sliding doors makes the garden seem to be part of the interior space.
Naked architecture, we call this.
