In commission of the Utrecht Foundation for the Jewish Monument Utrecht we designed this piece of art and took care of the construction management.
The monument is located near the Utrecht Railway Museum, former Maliebaan Station which was temporarily in use during the Second World War. Though long after the war, since October 2015 Utrecht has a valuable monument for the 1239 victims who have been transported from this station.
This honourable commission comprised a close cooperation between many stakeholders, among which the Jewish Community , an Israelian Stone Manufacturer and the artist Amiran Djanashvilii, who designed the bronze 'Sjofar'.
